MAXIMIZING PERSONAL RETREAT

TOPIC: MAXIMIZING PERSONAL RETREAT
There are types of retreat
      ·         Personal
      ·         Family
      ·         Group (Corporate)

There are things God will not tell you unless you separate yourself for a retreat
Starting and ending a season is very important you do with it spiritually. End of year retreat is very important. A retreat should be at least 2 days.

A.      THANKSGIVING. First day spend time in thanksgiving. Thank God in details, one by one. Lord thank You, you revealed to me what would have taken the life of my daughter. Thank you for averting the evil plan of the devil. Be open and truthful during retreat.

B.      Review the year. Six areas of review

1.       Review your spiritual life. Prayer life, word life. What do you know now that you don’t know before? Review your character.

2.       Mental development and capacity. Did I acquire useful information that will build me? What books did I read?

3.       Health. Did you eat anyhow? Did you exercise? Was I careless? Carelessness is inattentiveness to details.

4.       Your assignment. Kingdom service. From prophecy to manifestation – did I achieve that? Your assignment, purpose. “I don’t know my purpose” – look at your current assignment in the body of Christ. Are you faithful?

5.       Financial life. Do not plan to continue pursuing money all your life. Was I able to engage the key for financial breakthrough? What did I do with my resources? What lesson did you learn from wrong spending (wasteful spending)? Wasteful spending is sin. He that soweth sparingly shall reap sparingly. He that soweth bountifully, shall read bountifully. What do you understand about finances?

6.       Relationship. Marital, career, business, destiny relationships. He that worketh with the wise shall be wise, a companion of fouls shall be destroyed. Who did you give access to this year that negatively affected you?

Review all. What are the best areas and the worst areas? And Why?

C.      Plan for New Year (eg. 2018). How do you plan?

a.        Set clear goals in these six areas with a scriptural backing.

b.      Add time target to them. It puts a healthy pressure to achieve your goal. Praying without planning is like playing without goal. “I will take the month of January to study on finances. February for anointing”.

D.      Study the book of Proverbs. Don’t read to finish. Read to understand

E.       Have a sacrificial seed and wrap it with expectation. Do this every year. Something that will cost you. Why are you doing that? To secure the year.
The Holy Spirit will rebuke, correct, and refine you. Get a book to write things down.

Prov 4:1-10. The scriptural solutions to every issue of life is wisdom. There are cultural, natural, scientific solutions. But there are not as reliable as scriptural solutions. The degree to which you have succeeded is a show of how you have manifested the wisdom of God. Every time results are not produced in your life, it’s a sign of a defaulting in the wisdom of God. Allow God to show you areas of bankruptcy in your life. Search for it. If you do not contend for wisdom, your life will be an unending cycle of shame, failure, pain, foolishness. Zeal with no knowledge, disobedient to parents, are examples of lack of wisdom. Wisdom teaches you how to communicate – how to speak and when to speak. There is no money problem anywhere. We are victims of our understanding. Most of the things we experience in our life is a product of our knowledge, wisdom and understanding. The bible is the greatest book that will help you in business, marriage, and career. It coordinates our success. Build your business, live on the word of God. Hold an unquenchable hunger for the Word of God. I can know much you value the word of God by the excellence (wisdom) of your communication. There is a time to speak, there is a time to remain silent. There are times your loudest communication will be your silence. You don’t respond to critics by responding to them, you respond to them by consistency of result. Rev 5:11.

A weight is something that can impede (obstruct) you progress. Wisdom teaches you to be there for people at their trying times and help them. One of the easiest way to be wealthy is find people rising and quickly help them achieve their goal.
